What the Steam page includes

The official store page is the authoritative source for the PC version: it confirms Windows support, the feature list, supported languages, the available editions, the demo download and the system requirements. Everything else on this page is measured against it.

The benchmark sits alongside the game as its own entry, so you can test performance without owning the game. That is unusual and worth using before you buy.

Free demo and the Kubi Akari charm

The Steam page offers a Download Demo button, and the demo is the same roughly 30-minute opening available on PS5. Progress does not transfer to the full game.

Keeping the demo save file does matter: it unlocks the Kubi Akari charm in the full release. Capcom later updated the demo, and the announcement stated the update did not add new content.

PC features reviewers confirmed

TechRadar reported ultrawide support, DLSS 4.5, FSR 3 Frame Generation, ray tracing and several CPU performance presets on the PC build. That is a fuller graphics feature set than console players get access to.

PC Gamer reviewed on a Radeon RX 9070 XT with an i5-13600K and 64 GB of RAM, found high-end performance strong, and noted the game as Steam Deck Playable. Both sets of findings describe specific machines rather than guaranteed results on yours.

Why the store date reads September 3

Steam displays the unlock moment in your local time zone, so the US listing shows September 3, 2026 while press materials say September 4. There is no separate early PC edition behind that difference.

The same page also confirms Capcom as developer and publisher, which is a quick way to verify you are on the official listing rather than a reseller page or a key shop.

Official Steam announcements to watch

Capcom's Steam news feed carried the release-date change, the demo update schedule and the reminder that keeping a demo save earns a reward. It is the fastest official channel for PC-specific changes.

Patches after launch also arrive there first. If a performance fix, a control option or an inheritance rule changes, the Steam news post will predate most third-party coverage of it.

Before you buy on Steam

Run the free benchmark at the resolution and settings you actually intend to play at, then compare the result against the official targets on the store page. That is more reliable than matching your parts against the requirements table alone.

Check the current price, edition contents and any active time-limited bonus on the store page itself. Digital pre-order rewards were converted to an Early Adopter Bonus with deadlines that vary by region.

Test before you buy

Steam is the only storefront where you can measure the game before owning it, because both a free demo and a standalone benchmark are listed. Running the benchmark at your intended resolution and preset beats comparing part numbers against the requirements table.

The published targets are modest: roughly 30 FPS at 1080p Low with upscaling on the minimum tier, and about 60 FPS at 1080p Medium with upscaling on the recommended tier. Both assume upscaling is enabled, which is easy to overlook.

Record 1% lows as well as averages. In a game built on deflect timing, a momentary dip matters more than a slightly lower average frame rate.

Steam-specific features

Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud saves, HDR output and Family Sharing are all listed on the store page. Cloud saves are particularly useful if you move between a desktop and a handheld PC.

PC Gamer noted the game as Steam Deck Playable, and TechRadar reported roughly 40 FPS on handheld hardware after lowering power and image settings. Playable is a real rating with caveats, not a promise of a smooth experience at default settings.

Ultrawide support is confirmed by reviewers, so 21:9 and wider displays are catered for rather than pillarboxed.

Editions and rewards on Steam

Steam lists the same three editions as the other stores: Standard, Deluxe and Premium Deluxe. Deluxe adds charms, sword skins, the Red Armor outfit and the Crimson Lotus Oni Gauntlet skin; Premium Deluxe adds companion outfits and a digital soundtrack.

Playing the demo and keeping its save file earns the Kubi Akari charm in the full game, independently of which edition you buy. It costs nothing and takes about half an hour.

Digital pre-order rewards became a time-limited Early Adopter Bonus after the release date moved forward, with cut-offs published in PDT, EDT and BST. Confirm the deadline on the store page before assuming it still applies.

How the PC version was received

PC Gamer scored the game 83, praising the combat system, action presentation and weapon feel while criticising campaign bloat and pacing. TechRadar spent about 30 hours with it and reached a comparable balance.

Both reviews doubled as performance reports, which is useful because PC results depend so heavily on hardware. Read the configuration before reading the frame-rate claim.

Metacritic tracks PC separately from the console versions, so quote the PC aggregate rather than the early PS5 figure reported in launch-week coverage.

Buying safely on PC

Buy from the official Steam listing, which shows Capcom as both developer and publisher. Key resellers and marketplace listings sometimes advertise editions that do not officially exist, such as a collector tier.

The three official editions are Standard, Deluxe and Premium Deluxe. Anything promising more than that deserves a check against the store page before you pay.
